Southern Turkey Road Trip – Denizli to Antalya

We rented a car in Denizli and drove south to the Mediterranean. The drive was full of stops at small cafes for Turkish Coffee, or to shop for terracotta pots. This was easily the most amazing road trip that we’ve taken to date. Pamukkale and Hierapolis set the bar pretty high for amazing ruins and natural landscape, but Termessos blew our minds. It was a bit of a hike up to toe ruins at Termessos, but it is more than worth it. You can see the ocean from the top of the mountain, and the colosseum? Talk about no bad theater seats. We arrived in Antalya late, but enjoyed a sunrise on the Mediterranean. I would love to spend more time in Antalya in the summer. It seems like a beautiful place.
