Driving to Denali from Anchorage offers some great views! On the way to Denali we found out that there was a momma bear and cub wandering around the campground where we had reservations, so we could no longer stay there with our tent. So, we put the pedal to the floor and rushed to make the last bus to Wonder Lake (more about Wonder Lake later). During this crazed rush of a drive, the clouds cleared and we saw the beauty that is Denali for about 2 minutes. Good enough.
The rest of the adventure in Denali National Park was a soggy one, but that didn’t make it any less magical. The bus ride to and from Wonder Lake gave us a chance to take in some of the most beautiful and breathtaking views in all of Alaska.
Even the vault toilets were pretty picturesque.
The bus ride was pretty terrifying at times, but they made it. Slippery roads and all.
