Doug recently flew out to Florida to meet me for the weekend after a business trip. While we did visit a couple theme parks, we couldn’t visit Florida and not find a little adventure in nature. We drove to Blue Springs, waited in a line of cars outside the gate (they only let a certain amount of people in at one time), rented a canoe, and paddled around. We saw an alligator right off the bat and were immediately terrified. We spent the next two hours hoping to God we didn’t accidentally his something with our paddle that would then eat us and searching the murky water for manatees. No manatees, but it was a beautiful area.
